Support Small Businesses and Non-Profits on Social Media
With the COVID-19 pandemic threatening businesses everywhere, now is the time to support small businesses and non-profits. We have listed below 6 ways you can support your favorite small businesses and non-profits without spending any money!
THE CHALLENGE
Try to complete at least one each day, even better if you can do each ACTION once per day!
FOLLOW
Follow a small business or nonprofit you like on social media! Follow them on all the platforms you have an account on. (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter…) The more followers a business has, the more influence and reach they have.
REVIEW
Review one business, nonprofit, event or product you love! You can do this on Google, Facebook, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc. Reviews help people make decisions on what to buy, so when it comes time to make a choice, your review will help!
COMMENT
Comment on 1 business or nonprofit page’s post per day. The more engagement the posts get, the more Facebook and Instagram will allow it to be seen! This can help get their business more traffic.
JOIN
Join one email newsletter! You already like their business, so stay informed and maybe there is something you will want to know about or purchase in the future!
TAG
Post a Picture and tag the business or non-profit, use their hashtag if they have one! You can post a picture of a product in your home you love, or post a picture from a nonprofits event in the past as a #throwbackthursday.
SHARE
Share a business or nonprofit post or page! Help them share what they are sharing. It is super simple and helps grow their reach dramatically!
While it may not seem like it, these 6 things can have a dramatic effect on small business and non-profits. Generating greater audience engagement, growing their reach and brand awareness on social media will equip them for greater success now and after this crisis. Thank you all for helping us support small businesses and nonprofits!
